Much of the Church was built during the 14th and 15th centuries, however the site was first built on more than 1000 years ago. Features include the 15th century font and the animal carvings on the front pews. One of the country’s best known conductors, Sir Henry Joseph Wood attended St Mary’s Church frequently in later life.
