What is the course about?

In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere this course is designed to enable you the singer to use your instrument to the best of your ability, and where possible to develop your vocal technique and maximise the full potential of your voice. Brian Parsons is an experienced singer and pedagogue and, aided by the pianist Gavin Roberts, will tailor your individual sessions with him to your own special needs, making sure that at all times you understand the process and any relevant information. You will be given vocal exercises (basic and advanced), advice on presentation, interpretation, and repertoire, and be encouraged to comment and share any thoughts you have as a result of your experience. Please bring with you at least three pieces you know well, preferably from memory, in different styles and languages, contrasting and/or complementary.
