What is the course about?
As demand increases from flute, cello and pianists for more opportunities to play together in chamber groups at Benslow Music, Enigma14 are offering sessions for them to play, perform and discover music for this wonderful ensemble combination. Lisa Nelsen (flute), Julian Metzger (cello) and Paul Turner (piano) will lead workshops and coach the groups, as well as tutor each individual instrument in a separate class on the Saturday. The tutors will bring some music, and encourage participants to bring their own. Individual participants will be teamed up with others during the course, and pre-formed trios are most welcome! Lisa, Julian and Paul will also be guiding the participants through the art of performance and presentation during the course. There will be ample opportunity to perform in short, informal concerts…in a very safe and friendly environment. All three artists have extensive experience in guiding all kinds of musicians through their performance apprehensions, fears and nerves. Just bring an open mind! Please note that this course starts at 4pm on the Friday.
