What is the course about?
This brand new course provides the knowledge and skills to be able to confidently accompany flamenco dancers in addition to acquiring flamenco specific guitar techniques. Come and learn to understand how flamenco is structured so that you construct your own flamenco guitar solos, using the techniques that are taught. The key focus of this course is to get flamenco guitarists accompanying the flamenco dancers on the parallel course as soon as possible.

Have the ability to build both solos and to develop accompaniment.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Lower/Upper Intermediate, Advanced
You must be competent at holding chords and playing through chord sequences. Basic right hand ability is required.
How will the course be taught, and will any preparation be required?
This flamenco course will be taught in exactly the same way it is done in Spain: relaxed, fun, easy, no written, no technology (feel free to record teacher and participants with prior consent), no assessment , no evaluation, flamenco does not seek better and less good levels, just people loving doing flamenco together.
Will music be provided in advance of the course?
No music scores are used for flamenco.
Is there anything I need to bring?
Nylon strung guitar, classical flat capo, any recording device if you wish.
