Tonight's performance features Handel's epic La Lucrezia and Lungi, n’andò Fileno cantatas including two of Asteria's arias from Tamerlano; "Sì, sì, son vendicata…Se potessi un dí placare" and “Then Asteria is the price paid…If love is dead and cold”.

Caroline Taylor graduated with Distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music, where she won the Joyce and Michael Kennedy Strauss Award and was a Finalist in the prestigious Gold Medal.

She was recently an Emerging Artist at Longborough Festival Opera, where she covered Vixen Sharp-Ears and performed Chocholka in The Cunning Little Vixen. Further roles include Lauretta/Gianni Schicchi (RNCM), Adina/The Elixir of Love (Duchy Opera), Clori/L’Egisto (Hampstead Garden Opera) and Governess/The Turn of the Screw (Byre Opera). Concert highlights include Britten’s Les Illuminations with the Northern Ballet Sinfonia and Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 at the Bridgewater Hall.

Caroline is a member of the Wigmore Hall French Song Exchange and a British Youth Opera Serena Fenwick Artist. In 2022, she performs Fauré’s Requiem withManchester Camerata and Asteria in Tamerlano with Cambridge Handel Opera Company.
