What is the course about?
Popular and experienced tutors, the Tedesca Quartet, invite strong and confident players to join them to explore this towering masterpiece of Brahms.
We are seeking an orchestra of two flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons, four horns, two trumpets, three trombones, one tuba, a timpanist and of course a good number of violins, violas, cellos and double basses.

By the end of the course you will know a great deal more about the inner workings of this wonderful symphony and you will have experienced the exhilaration of a complete play-through in the final session.

Standard: Confident, Skilful.
How will the course be taught, and will any preparation be required?
The course will focus on tutti sessions, although some sectional work may be necessary.
Will music be provided in advance of the course?
Bowed string parts will be available to download from the Benslow website a few weeks before the course. Wind parts can be accessed on IMSLP. Actual parts will be available to play form in the course.
